During the challenging 2020, Croatian Veterinary Institute has received the support from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) through the INT0098 technical cooperation project with the supply of essential equipment and reagents intended to strengthen the laboratory capacities for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19. Croatian Veterinary Institute used this opportunity to set up a new laboratory subunit at Virology Department for the application of molecular methodology in research and diagnostics of different viral infectious diseases. The Reco team has now an access to new facilities which is a nice improvement and opens a space for future growth.
